Independence Day 2010

 

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

City Hall closed Monday.  New Buffalo City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day.  The City Hall Drop Box, located next to the Smith Street entrance, can be used for paying City utility bills (water, sewer, and garbage) and Summer tax bills.

Fireworks Friday.  The New Buffalo Business Association will be presenting a fireworks display from the City Beach on Friday, July 2, at dusk.  Various beach activities will occur on Friday.  Events are free.  However, parking fees at the City Beach still apply, but parking after 8:00 PM is free.

Symphony Saturday.  The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra will be presenting an Independence Day Celebration Concert on Saturday, July 3, at 7:30 PM, at Lions Pavilion Park, across from the City Beach.  Through a grant from the Pokagon Fund, this concert is free.  However, parking fees at the City Beach still apply, but parking after 8:00 PM is free.  Doors open at 5:30 PM.  Rain Location: New Buffalo Performing Arts Center at the High/ Middle School.
