YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES
The City of New Buffalo has a council-manager form of government with a five member City Council elected at-large. The mayor and mayor pro tem are elected annually from among the City Council members and, collectively, they appoint the City Manager.
The City Council regularly meets the third Monday (starting November 19, 2018) of each month at 6:30 PM Eastern Time in the Community Room at City Hall, 224 W. Buffalo St., New Buffalo, MI 49117. It is important to check the City calendar to confirm meeting dates, times, and details.
Members of the public are welcome to speak to the Council on any issue during regular meetings. A sign-up sheet is provided at the beginning of the meeting. Please note that a time limit is enforced.
All meetings are open to the public and are accessible. Persons requiring auxiliary aides and services or other accommodations should contact the City Clerk's Office. City Council may be contacted through that office as well.
Current members with their council term ending dates are shown in the column to the right.
From time to time the City Council prioritizes City projects, please see the City Projects page for details.
