New Mayor Warren Peterson and CCM Rich Shoemaker

 

September 18, 2012 — The City Council appointed Council Member Warren Peterson as the City's new mayor, filling the remainder of Rusty Geisler's mayoral term, which he vacated when he became City Manager.  Mr. Peterson was first elected to the City Council in May of 2010, after serving as Chair of the Park and Recreation Board.
 
Warren Peterson was given the oath of office for mayor by City Clerk Kim Schmitz:

The City Council appointed Rich Shoemaker to fill the remainder of Mr. Geisler's vacant Council Member seat.  Mr. Shoemaker was previously serving the City as Chair of the Planning Commission.
 
Rich Shoemaker was given the oath of office for council member by City Clerk Kim Schmitz:

During the meeting Mayor Pro Tem Migs Murray presented Mr. Geisler with a plaque of appreciation for his years of service as Council Member, Mayor Pro Tem and Mayor of New Buffalo:
