Pokagon Fund Appreciation Day

Friday, May 20, 2011, is Pokagon Fund Appreciation Day in the City of New Buffalo.  Please join us at the City Beach at 3:00 PM to help us celebrate the opening of the Harbor thanks to a grant from The Pokagon Fund, which the City used to dredge the Federal Navigation Channel.  Mayor Geisler will present a proclamation thanking The Pokagon Fund Board of Directors for their strong support of the community, and appreciating the generosity of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians for creating the fund.

The mission of The Pokagon Fund is to enhance the lives of the residents in the New Buffalo region through the financial support of local governments, nonprofits, charities and other organizations.
