The City will conduct loose-leaf pick-up until April 17, 2009. Leaves are to be placed by the street, but not on the pavement. Do not mix leaves with brush.
Bagged-leaves pick-up will begin on Monday, April 20, 2009, and will continue every Monday until the end of the season.
Use biodegradable bags only. Bags are available at City Hall, $1.00 each. Do not put stumps or trash in bags. Bags will not be picked up if they contain trash, stumps, or weigh more than 20 pounds.
Brush pick-up will begin on Monday, April 20, 2009, and will continue every Monday until the end of the season.
For brush pick-up each household may place up to two piles of brush along the street, but brush should not be on the street itself.
Each brush pile shall be no larger than 4 feet wide, 4 feet high, and 10 feet deep. (Therefore, no branch shall be longer than 10 feet.) Branches shall not be more than 3 inches of diameter.
It is not the intention of this Policy that the City serve as a tree service to dispose of debris from the removal of trees on private property. Contractors are responsible for disposal of the brush they generate.
Please contact John Sayne at 269-469-2781 for tree damage due to storms or any questions.
