Amtrak will close the Eagle Street railroad crossing in New Buffalo beginning Monday, March 30 at 7:00 a.m. The crossing will remain closed until the asphalt plants re-open towards the end of April.
Once Amtrak completes the work on Eagle Street and the crossing re-opens, Amtrak will close the Whittaker Street railroad crossing for one week to resurface the track through the crossing and repave it.
Amtrak does not intend to put detour signs up during these outages.
Amtrak will put road closed signs/barricades at these locations while they are being worked on. At no time will the Willard St crossing be closed during these projects.
